new spark plugs

Well I decide that the car could do with a new set, only problem is getting the right length, apparently they fit angle grinders and lawnmowers, I'm not going to tell OKIE that she might get upset, finally got a set second time round, and she works well.

Off to the Club meeting on Sunday might ask one of the guy to help me identify the knocking noise, suspisious that it is a UJ or a bearing, but those with more knowledge will be able to make a better guess.

Still haven't fixed the rev counter and I am supicious that the Fule and temp guage are copying each other wierd!!

Anyway must go and cut the lawn, before it rains.

Fixed it Yes!!!!

discovered to my delight that one of the wires had come off the back of the Rev Counter, a bit of coper slip for good conductivity and it is back on. The Counter still has a problem that it sticks about 500 and then when reved hard it jumps, not sure why will have to ask on the TSSC web site or at the meeting

Extra Bits

thanks to sealski for the message I will add you to my links, remined me that I needed to do a post too!

I read in the courier about another member who had some herald/vitesse parts that they wanted to get rid of, so I contacted them and had a look 2 saturdays ago, I ended up buying 2 doors and a boot lid complete with number plate light and number plate.

the doors were pretty wrecked, tin work, Katty and all that was known to man to stick them back together, but the crome work was all present and the internals work fine, so I have stripped (sounds easy when you say it quick) them for parts and may swap them sell them on, the two windows were also fine, and will make a good replacement for the drivers side one on my car as it has a chip halfway down.

The boot lid is in great condition and I have stripped the crome work and vitesse shiney pannel and badges off ready so that I can strip the paint.... another day !

I managed to get some anti-burst catches, and must admit that I am considering calling them anti-CLOSE catches as they are B~##er to line up, oh yes and the hock part is handed so it will not work upside down! any way I think a little bit of adjustment with the angle grinder will sort them.

Off to the club on sunday, need to check the oil and water, the temp gauge always seems to read hot!

Also need to fix the rev counter, not sure what I did, but it was defenetly me fiddling with the bulbs that has done it, however I do now have blue LED lit clocks, will post a picture of the bulb casing with LEDs in it
